Hargy Oil Palm ready to fix collapsed Ivule bridge

By Jack Lapauve Jnr – EMTV News, Port Moresby

Hargy Oil Palm Company in West New Britian is on standby to fix the collapsed Ivule bridge.

According to a local news agency, Hargy is waiting for the Works Department to take lead.

General Manager Graham King says restoration will progress only if the rain stops.

West New Britian Governor Sasindran Muthuvel urged authorities in Government to build a permament bridge to withstand forces of nature.

Meanwhile, the travelling public is currently doing wet crossing. Ivule bridge connects Kimbe and Bialla and also links to the New Britain Highway that connects East and West New Britain.
