Kenemu in the lead of Agiru for Hela Regional

Counting continues in the new Hela province as seen Andy Kapa Kenemu, an Independent candidate leading with 12,640 votes’ followed closely by sitting member Anderson Pawa Agiru in the second place with 12,136 votes.

The Preliminary count, running results are as follows:

For the Hela Regional seat, Andy Kapa Kenamu (Independent) is leading with 12,640 votes, followed closely by Anderson Pawa Agiru (People’s United Assemby) with 12,136, and Iki Ricks Mamu (THE Party) with 8504 votes.

In Komo Magarima Open electorate, Robert Tia (Coalition for Reform Party) is in the lead with 3516 votes, followed by Francis Potape (PNG Party) with 3344 votes, and Edward Ekanda Alina (PNC) 3118.

For the Koroba Lake-Kopiago Open electorate, Philip Undialu (THE Party) is leading with 10,022 votes, followed by PNG Party candidate John Kekeno (PNG Party) with 4299 votes, and Petrus Thomas Nane (PNC) with 3629.

In the Tari Pori Open electorate, James Marape (PNC) is in the lead with 9455 votes, followed by George Tagobe (PNG Party) with 4321 votes and Jonny Pokaya Philip (Independent) 3565 votes.

Meantime, tallies are set to change as counting continues today.
