PNG to establish weekly New Zealand flights

Papua New Guinea is looking at the possibility of establishing weekly flights to and from New Zealand to boost trade and tourism.

This follows successful talks between the PNG and New Zealand governments.

Trade, Commerce and Industry Minister Richard Maru has written to Air Niugini to seek assistance in making this work.

Possible routes would include Port Moresby-Nadi-and Auckland return flights, or Auckland-Port Moresby and Hong Kong weekly flights, on a code share basis.
