In preparation of World Environment Day (WED) celebrations tomorrow, REPSOL, one of the world’s leading Energy companies operating in PNG, in partnership with PNG’s Conservation and Environment Protection Authority(CEPA), has donated T-shirts to schools within Port Moresby and the Central province.
REPSOL is among four other corporate sponsors for tomorrows World Environment day Celebrations, which will be facilitated by CEPA.
Representatives from REPSOLs Brisbane based headquarters flew in today to witness and officiate the presentation of the WED t-shirts along with representatives from CEPA to the Gordans Secondary School.
REPSOL’s Vice President and country manager to PNG, Jesus Chillon, addressed the media in a statement highlighting the company’s key objective in participation in the World Environment Day Celebrations.
“It is REPSOL’s aspiration to be perceived in PNG as an exemplary corporate citizen that exceeds the environmental compliance and contributes positively to the protection of the environment”
Gordons Secondary School received the t-shirts on behalf of 17 other participating schools from Port Moresby and the Central Province.
The Celebration will be held at the Adventure Park tomorrow in the fight to stop illegal trafficking of wildlife as this years world environment day theme suggests.
