Wawin National High School graduated 180 grade twelve students yesterday despite the financial difficulties it faced this year.
Principal Pal Pu told parents during the graduation that at the lowest point this year, the school had only K10,000 in its bank account.
He also added that the school has received only fifty percent of its tuition fee free funds.
2016 wasn’t an easy year, Principal, Pal Pu described in his graduation speech for parents, friends and relatives to hear.
“I’ve never made a mention to you, but if you haven’t seen me, I slept out, because, The bank balance was K10,000,” says Pu.
Pu had more to say-the Principal spoke out about the Tuition fee free funds that were late and only fifty percent paid.
“For school year, Wawin National High School is owed and yet to be paid K343,643.77 in TFF money. For 2015, we are yet to be paid more than k120,000,” said Pu.
Parents were asked to pay K495.00 to cover for government delays in funds.
