Vision City Robbery

Port Moresby’s Vision City Mega Mall came under siege this morning as reports of an attempted robbery stopped the supermarket’s operations.

In latest reports received, Vision City was broke in by 3 suspects early this morning between 2am and 3am.

Assistant General Manager of the mall, Anderson Ting told EMTV News two of the suspects hid in the shop till day break but were spotted by an employee which alerted the shop’s security.

Mr Ting also revealed an undisclosed amount of money was stolen including goods in the grocery section of the mall. 

Police were quick in response however no suspects were caught.

EMTV News was at the scene this morning but couldn’t get any comments from the shop’s management or the police.

Police personnel’s from the Special Services Division (SSD) came and searched the entire building, but were not able to apprehend any of the suspects.

Meanwhile the supermarket resumed its normal business at 11am this morning.
