PNG’s High Performance Centre (HPCE) has struck a deal with a sports medical company from Australia.
Victor Sports will now supply medical products to the HPCE, who will be the exclusive distributor in PNG.
They will also be carrying out training with PNG HPCE staff and other interested individuals.
Andrew Shenkar from Victor said they have carried out such affiliations with other countries and it has been working really well for both the company and the linked sporting bodies.
PNG HPCE Sports Director, Aaron Alsop, is encouraging individuals or sporting organisations interested to be available at the Taurama Aquatic Centre in the next three days to attend workshops, where Shenkar will be meeting with various sporting bodies.
Attending the workshop are; PNG Hunters, CRU, PNG Netball, St. Johns Ambulance and others.
They are encouraged to order medical kits that suit their sport as PNG does not have specific medical kits required for various sports, and this is an important development in linking up with a leading brand of sports medicine in Australia.
Alsop added that kits will be ready for PNG Games teams who are interested to order their own.
