Trukai Industries, Silver Sponsor to 7th BSP PNG Games

Trukai Industries Limited has become synonymous, not just with high profile sports but with community oriented sports for many decades in PNG.

Trukai Industries General Manager, Andrew Daubney who officially confirmed Trukai’s sponsorship of K50,000 to the 7th BSP PNG Games, as silver sponsor, said Trukai Industries has been supporting PNG Sports at every level for more than 20 years.

He added, it was Trukai’s responsibility, as a corporate company to give back to the community, and this is one way for Trukai to support local communities through sports to encourage healthy living and eating as part of Trukai’s corporate social responsibility platform.

With 15 days to the 7th BSP PNG Games, Sports Foundation, Director, Major events and Marketing, John Susuve, told the media that, preparations for individual participating provinces are going well.

PNG Sports Foundation will be working closely with the Host Organising Committee, to ensure that provinces are assisted, so that no one misses out.

Susuve said while 24 sporting codes have been confirmed, in addition, sports for people with special needs or para sports has also been slated.

Provincial governments are encouraged to help fund the Teams.

Kimbe, now known as the only Province to have made history, after deferring the games twice, Host Organising Committee, together with PNG Sports Foundation, are confident that PNG, for the first time, will witness one of the biggest and most memorable sporting events.

The 7th BSP PNG Games will have its Opening Ceremony take place on November 18th, and will be broadcast live on EMTV.
