Tougher laws needed to combat Marijuana

Morobe’s provincial police commander says Papua New Guinea urgently needs a drug enforcement strategy   to combat widespread marijuana trafficking and cultivation.

David Warap says current police approach to drug trafficking is ad hoc because of limited resources   and manpower.

Morobe province is also a contributor to the marijuana trade with drugs being grown in places like Pindiu, Zifasing and Bulolo.
