The TeachersSavings and Loans Society have embarked on bringing services closer to its members.
Overthe weekend,the organization acquired a property space in Alotau, Milne Bey Province at a cost of K2.8 million for its operation.
The acquisition will also cut down on operational costs, as TISA will no longer have to spend money on rentals.
The TeachersSavings and Loans Society’s operation in Alotau from a sub branch in 2005 to a full branch in December 2006 has not always being smooth.
The dilemma of finding a suitable office space has beingthe main contributing factor.
Despite this,the organization has experienced a good membership growth sincethe upgrade.
The current membership in Alotau is over 2000. To ensure, its members receivethe best service,the organization has purchased a property inthe heart of Alotau town.
The property located on Preston White Street was bought fromthe TIGILAI Family. Its members say reliable service is required andthe new building is a boost.
A major facelift will be carrlied out onthe building inthe coming months.
There are also plans to acquire properties in ther parts ofthe country under its nationwide rollout program.
