Teachers Savings and Loans Society Limited (TISA), has extended its services to the township of Ialibu in the Southern Highlands Province.
On Friday, TISA Board members and management held hands with Ialibu-Pangia leaders, to officially open its Ialibu Branch.
The office is the third in the Highlands region.
The Teachers Savings and Loans Society has been serving teachers and public servants, for the past 40 years in the country.
The opening of their Ialibu branch marks another milestone achievement by the management of TISA.
It was a proud moment for the 1000 plus teachers and society members, as hundreds gathered to witness the official opening.
Ialibu Town Mayor Jacob Iki, said this is a bonus for the small town to have a branch, instead of the provincial capital.
Representing teachers in the province was Elias Laindi, school principal of Ialibu Secondary School.
Mr Laindi expressed his gratitude to the TISA management, and said members will enjoy the benefit of receiving a fast turnaround time on their loans and share withdrawals.
TISA Board Chairman Gabriel Tai said the Ialibu office is unique as it is a collective decision to establish this service for the people in the province.
Chairman Tai said TISA will deliver its objectives and called on all to take ownership in embracing this service.
The office is the third in the region, after Goroka and Mt. Hagen.
