39 matters for fast track were heard this morning before Chief Justice Sir Salamo Injia at the Waigani Supreme Court.
Most of the cases are of high profile individuals, mostly politicians and heads of government agencies.
Many of these cases were adjourned to a later date for directional hearing.
Some of the big cases include Belden Namah verses the tribunal, and Peter O’Neill and Dairi Vele verses the Ombudsman Commission.
However, lawyers representing Acting Secretary for Treasury, Dairi Vele, as the second defendant failed to complete their files before serving the Chief Justice.
Chief Justice warned the lawyers to come prepared, and adjourned the case to next Tuesday.
