This week, the Waigani Committal Court heard twelve cases of misappropriation, three willful murder and seven sexual penetration charges.
The misappropriation cases involved two senior public servants, the wilful murders allegedly involved two police officers while the misappropriation charges involved two Asian men.
All are separate cases but went before Senior Magistrate, Cosmos Bidar.
From the committal court listings this week, misappropriation cases had more appearances compared to the other offences.
For the misappropriation case, Rigo MP Ano Pala appeared on three counts of misappropriation and abuse of office.
Former Lands and Physical Planning Secretary, Romilly Kila Pat, appeared for two counts of conspiracy to defraud the state and applied to use over K200,000 money belonging to the Lands Reform Trust Account.
On other misappropriation cases, Peter Ling Koh Woo, a Malaysian national was charged on four counts of misappropriation, false pretences and causing affection amongst members of the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary.
And James Qianbin, a Chinese man was also charged for misusing over K200,000, money belonging his employer.
On wilful murder charges, two police officers, Jack Aron and Stanley Kilip were arrested and charged in relation to the death of a man last Sunday.
And in what is believed to be the first of its kind, a man from Madang was charged for obscene language. Brendon Kadiu was alleged to have commented on a Facebook post discriminating the Madang MP, Nixon Duban.
