The Pacific MMI Port Moresby Snooker Handicap competition was launched today at the Lamana Q Club.
The tournament will begin on October 27 and will end on the November 6.
Nominations are now open with a registration fee of K200 per player, and registration will close on Monday, October 24.
64 players are anticipated to take part in the handicap challenge, the draws will be done after the registration closing date.
Tournament Director, Danny Earls, says the handicap challenge is an exciting event, and one of his personal favourites.
Earls also said, the tournament is unpredictable, and may see a player in the lower divisions win the tournament.
Many juniors are expected to take part in the competition after showing promising signs of improvement in previous competitions.
Pacific MMI has sponsored the event, and will see their sponsorship, run for the next 2 years.
Participation of men, women and juniors has increased over the past few years, and the organisers are hoping for a bigger and better handicap challenge this year.
