It was reported thatthe 5 year old dived intothe pool to retrieve a toy but had gotten his arm stuck inthe drain. His Nanny, and later a maid, dived in after him to try to pry him loose but were both unsuccessful. Upon yelling for help two male contractors nearby dover in and were able to dislodgethe child fromthe drain.
One ofthe contractors was able to administer CPR tothe boy and revive him before an ambulance arrived. His fther made it in time to ride with him tothe hospital.
He is said to be conscious and breathing but will be monitored while staying on atthe Children'’s Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite hospital.
The near drowning tragedy has occurred a year after Usher’s step-son, also with Foster, was severely injured in a boating accident on Lake Lanier notheast of Atlanta. Kyle Glover, 11, later dlied fromthe injuries he sustained.
