Search Continues for Pari Men Missing at Sea

A father of three is still missing out at sea, since Wednesday January 7, 2015.

Peter Amos, 28, from the Motu Koitabu village of Pari,in the in the National Capital District, travelled to Toutu past Lealea in the Central Province, with his cousin, Gamu Noka.

In an interview this morning with Peter’s father, Reverend Wilson Amos, he said that after experiencing strong winds and rough seas along the coast, he was very concerned about his son. He hopes that they will make it back safely.

Families say they were supposed to come back the next day, but to date; the men have not arrived back and have not made any contact with their loved ones.

Reverend Wislson Amos said he was shocked when he heard his son was missing. Peter, This has left the family at no peace, but to mourn over their son, brother, father and husband. Families and friends of Peter gathered to help and support the family.

Both families are working together with the community and the village council, who organised rescue search teams who have been searching for the two men since Thursday.

The search for the missing men continues.
