Ryan Pini’s 7 Gold Medals, Breaks 2 Pacific Games Records

PNG’s Swim King; Ryan Pini, continues his winning streak, raking in seven gold medals since day one of competition, and in the process, breaking two pacific games records.

EM TV Sport got an exclusive interview with the super fish, where he spoke about his gold medal performances, and why PNG should be proud.

Papua New Guinea currently has 10 Gold Medals with 6 from Ryan Pini and the rest from Men’s and Women’s relay team.

Since day one of the competition, Ryan Pini had no time to look back but to carry on his medal collection in the men’s 50 and 100m backstroke, Men’s 50 and 100m butterfly and the 100m freestyle with the 1500m yet to come.

“Papua New Guinea’should just feel so incredibly proud of all the efforts; we’re just smashing it up. I hope, the rest of the week, for the other athletes, [they] can really lift and power through. Everyone is behind them no matter what.”

This morning’s events started off with the Women’s 50m freestyle and ended with the Women’s 200m backstroke.

This evening’s finals will see the super fish, Ryan Pini compete in the Men’s 1500m freestyle.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s 200m breaststroke representing Papua New Guinea is Ebony and Savannah Tkatchenko and Anna-Liza Mopio-Jane.

Now from these 4 swimmers, Papua New gunea is expected to win 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, or 2 Gold if Savannah is faster than her Prelimenary event time.
