Reconciliation Healing Bougainville Civil War wounds

Families of the victims killed in Kunua District during the civil war on Bougainville have thanked the veterens of North Bougainville for taking the lead in the reconciliation processes.

Women leader, Pauline Vinesi told EMTV News in Kunua, they must move on with normal lives and look forward to the future of Bougainville.

Many people lost their lives and properties were destroyed during the civil war following disagreements over the Panguna Mine’s profits, which was one of the world’s largest open cut mines.
