Public Servants Soccer Starts

The Public Servants Soccer Association began its season with the opening matches featuring over sixty teams spread across six divisions.

Normally used to hosting Hekari Football Club, the IPA Oval in Port Moresby saw some good football action in the Under nineteen division as City United Football Club took on ITI Musa United in a stalemate nil all draw, on ground one.

There was also good action in the Men’s A and B League as well as the women’s divisions which saw Oro in blue dominate a young Bao GYs team, winning their match one nil.

Teams fielding lower and younger divisional sides have been looking at schools as good feeders for their clubs.

Organizers had said that while there were a number of forfeits it was still early in the competition and this was not a major concern at present with registration for the 2014 competition still open.
