In what seems like the ultimate seal, Katy Perry was declared to be a wonderful person by President Barrack Obama at the White House on Thursday.
We have one of my favourite people performing tonight – Katy Perry. We are so grateful to have her, President Obama said when introducing her on stage to perform her hit “Roar”.
I Love Katy Perry, She is just a wonderful woman, Obama went on.
The US President invited the Raven hair pop star to a White House Dinner to recognise the 46th anniversary of the Special Olympics and acknowledged how appreciative he was of Katy’s efforts to attend when she was actually on her Prismatic World Tour.
“I have just met her mom and now I know why she is such a wonderful person, but I just want everybody to know she is on tour right now and so, for her to take time out to do this is really special and we really want to say thank you to her for doing this”, Obama added.
Meanwhile, the songstress was as delighted to be performing at the White House as her hosts. She took to twitter to “What an Incredibly beautiful evening being invited to sing at the White House”.
The 29 year old Dark Horse hitmaker later tweeted “Between singing at the White house and releasing one of my new favourite videos, today was a good one. Her new video link of ‘How We Do‘was attached to the tweet.
