Papua New Guinea’s Opposition Leader, Don Polye, has welcomed the Chief Justices and Judges who are currently in the country to attend the Pacific Island Conference.
Polye encouraged the PNG Judiciary to learn from both Australia and New Zealand, including smaller Island States to deal with issues such as the Court case backlog and maintaining the independency of Judiciary.
He said PNG’s Justice system must be protected at all times as it is the only avenue for citizens to seek justice.
