The Hebou PNG Barramundis departed for Hong Kong yesterday afternoon, to participate in three ICC WCLC One Day International (ODI) matches, against the host.
It will be the second ODI Series that the Barras will appear in since gaining ODI Status in 2014 after the 2-0 series win against Hong Kong in Townsville.
The Hong Kong side and the Barras have developed a healthy rivalry over the years, both teams moving up the ICC WCL Divisions together and the world rankings.
PNG is currently in 4th placing, a win will move them up to the top three.
The squad comprises of the same line up that took on Namibia mid-last month, led by captain and one of the top eight batsmen in the WCLC Competition, Assad Vala.
The first ODI match will be this Friday, followed by the other two on the 6th and 8th of this month.
After the Hong Kong Tour, the PNG side will be meeting two more stronger contenders, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore.
