Former Palais, Captain Kymlie Rapilla, says their finish at the recent Sydney Sevens may not be the outcome they expected, but it certainly helped them identify areas of weaknesses. Rapilla says despite being placed in the pool that contained some of the strongest teams, the ICTSI Palais gave it their all.
Placed in one of the strongest pools, the ICTSI Palais gave it their best shot as they knew what they were up against in their recent tournament in Sydney. Playing some of the toughest teams in France, England and New Zealand, the aim was to get on the scoreboard in all of the three matches.
Looking back at the game, the Palais coach stated that the team has certainly improved and have seen some improvement since their last match in Sydney last year. She says watching the video analysis with the team, a lot of errors which were picked out will be worked on if the team is to succeed in future tournaments.
The team may have not received the outcome they hoped for, but a lot of hard work and commitment lies ahead of them.
