Northern Region ACP says Police Officers Should Not Be Confiscating Licences from Drivers

A senior police officer in Lae is warning officers in his command not to collect licences from drivers.

ACP for Northern Region, Peter Guinness, says a driving license is a private property that belongs to the driver.

He said police officers have no right to confiscate licenses from drivers. Those found to be confiscating licences will be dealt with.
