The eviction exercise atthe National Housing Corporation Waigani Hostel has been put on hold.
NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Andy Bewa has asked NHC for a formal letter beforethe eviction can proceed.
Mr.Bewa said an eviction directive was issued by his predecessor.
The intended eviction yesterday led tothe bashing of a tenant.
