Kudjip Nazarene Hospital is the new Provincial Hospital for Jiwaka Province.
Health Minister, Michael Malabag, officially declared and signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Jiwaka Provincial Government, National Health Department and the Nazaren Health Services.
Three health centres were also declared.
Jiwaka Governor, Dr William Tongap, said the Kudjip Provincial Hospital will still be managed and run by the Nazarene Health Service.
He said the Church has successfully run the facility for the past 60 years and it will be injustice to build a new Provincial Hospital.
The National and Provincial Government will only partner with Nazarene Health Services in terms of funding.
Jiwaka Province did not have a Provincial Hospital for the last 5 years.

The Kudjip Nazarene Hospital acts as a Provincial and Regional hospital by providing quality health care services to the people of Jiwaka, Western Highlands Province, Simbu, Eastern Highlands, and Enga Province.
Most of the doctors there are specialists from overseas.
