SP Hunters Round 23

The SP PNG Hunters are expected to trigger ferocious footy action this weekend, to make the final cut of the Intrust Super Cup campaign.

The Hunters have only three matches and a bye, before rounding up the season and going into the final series.

The match against the Ipswich Jets this weekend is sure to go right down to the wire.

The SP PNG Hunters have continued their home ground advantage with neatly knitted wins so far in the season.

The newly ISC inclusions were true to their words in the very beginning of the campaign in the Australian second tier competition.

An intriguing 32-22 win over the visiting Norths Devils last weekend, recorded a commanding third in a row win on their own turf.

The Hunters made a slow start, while the Devils took an early lead. But the home team managed to come from behind to sew up the match, adding another win to their basket.

This weekend will be an important match against the 5th placed Ipswich Jets, and planning is already underway to intimidate the visitors in their last home game of the season.

Students from selected primary schools in Kokopo will be invited to form a cheer squad for the Hunters.

It will be the foundation of what is expected to be an intense atmosphere at the Kalabond Oval with a bumper crowd anticipated.
