EMTV has established that a new shipment of medicines and medical supplies has arrived in Lae, and ready for distribution.
However staff at the Area Medical Store have refused to reveal when the supplies arrived.
The supplies include antibiotics, antimalarial drugs, anesthetics and latex gloves which are in short supply at all urban clinics.
EMTV conducted a survey last week which revealed that there was a severe medicine shortage at all urban clinics.
EMTV has also confirmed that clinic managers have been advised to go to the Area Medical Store to collect their supplies.
Medical supplies for Wewak have been packed and are ready to be shipped.
