Formerly known as the Lloyd Robson Oval, the National Football Stadium is set to be complete and ready for use next month.
The National Football Stadium will be the home of rugby league in Papua New Guinea.
Built to international standard, and according to specifications of the NRL, the facility is without a doubt world class.
The facility also includes car parking for 200 vehicles, indoor warm up and recovery areas, gym facilities, change rooms, training and warm up field, drug testing rooms and match day medical rooms.
While it will play host to major international sporting events, the Stadium will also be used for local rugby league competitions, such as the Port Moresby Rugby League and the Intercity Cup.
The National Football stadium will also be used to host matches of the FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup which is scheduled to take place in November and will attract football teams from around the globe.
