A total of 195 boxers and officials have submitted their names to the PNG Boxing Union to take part in this year’s National Boxing Championships in Kavieng.
The tournament is to be held from November 18-22.
A total of 21 boxing associations from around the country have all submitted entries, but it is not yet confirmed how many boxers and officials will be taking part.
The union has set a deadline for all associations to meet before the tournament.
Tournament Director, Dick Larry, made it clear for all boxers to be medically certified before the tournament.
During the tournament, the Annual General Meeting will be held to appoint new executives for the next three years.
John Avira urged all unaffiliated clubs to pay their affiliation fees, to be given the right to vote.
Kavieng MP, Ben Micah, has jumped on board to help sponsor the event.
