The Men’s softball league was inthe heat of competition overthe weekend atthe Besini softball diamond in Port Moresby.
The teams battled it out to secure a spot inthe final selection for the forthcoming National Championships in Kavieng.
Bethersand Stingers put up a good challenge with a huge crowd of supporters all packedthe field. The game was tough as Betherslead Stingers 7-3 with 5 innings played.
While inthe ther match, Bears put up a strong fight against Defence.Inthe first inning, Bears lead withthe first set of hard pitching swiftly went into battling.
Bears picked up fromthere and made a few home runs till 5 innings were over. An extra 5 minutes was given and Bears tookthe win totheir side withthe final home run leading 3-2.
Meanwhile, all teams are battling to be on top ofthe ladder. Names ofthe final squad will be finalized later this week.
