Manumanu Landowners Questioning Why Prime Minister has Launched an Administrative Inquiry

Manumanu Landowners are questioning why Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, has launched an administrative inquiry, instead of continuing the Commission of Inquiry (COI).

The landowners say they are worried that the Administrative Inquiry will not cover the six points recommended in the Terms of Reference.

They say a COI has legal powers to summon witnesses to testify and call for documents to be tendered during its proceeding, making the COI more transparent than an Administrative Inquiry.
