Machines for Rai Coast

The people of Rai Coast in the Madang Province have for the past 10 years endured for too long the plague of inaccessibility to vital services.

This will now be a thing of the past as Rai Coast Open Member, James Gau, purchased 3 pieces of heavy machinery for roads in the district.

Mr Gau said the machines will ensure that the people of Rai Coast will realize an all-weather road in the future.

Over the past years, people have lived with minimum access to services like health, education and other vital services and only through better roads and planning, will the much needed services be rolled- out to over 60,000 people.

He said the plan of the district administration is to empower village people by opening up the Finisterre Ranges of Rai Coast and provide accessibility through infrastructure.

\Mr Gau thanked the O’Neill-Dion Government in placing an emphasizing on rolling out services to rural people to empower their lives.
