Luship new board tasked to investigate safety issues

A new board has been put in place to run the Lutheran Shipping Company and one of its first tasks will be to investigate safety issues and other grievances raised by seafarers.

The interim chairman is former, Madang Governor, Sir Arnold Amet.

The call comes after a long running dispute that has forced health workers to go on strike several times this year.

For almost a year, nurses’ salaries have not been paid on time.
