Late John Jaminan Laid to Rest

The late John Anthony Jaminan was laid to rest in his home village in West Yangoru last Friday.

He was described by many as a fearless, determined and selfless leader, who brought much needed services to the people of Yangoru-Saussia.

Current member for Yangoru-Saussia and Trade Commerce and Industry Minister, Richard Maru who saw Jaminan as a role model said, the work Jaminan did for his people will not stop with his death.

“Whatever vision and dreams he had for Yangoru-Saussia, we will fulfill it,” Maru said.

John Jaminan or simply known to all as JJ was born in 1943 at Nimbihu Village, West Yangoru. He was elected as the first member for Yangoru-Saussia in 1977.

During his political career from 1977 to 1997, he was health minister and housing minister. But his whole political career was for his people in Yangoru-Saussia.

Mr Jaminan is survived by his wife, three sons, 13 grandchildren and 1 grandchild.
