Kavieng Hotel, in the New Ireland Province, has come on board to sponsor uniforms for the Drongos Master’s Softball Team.
It was a surprise gift for the Drongos Master’s Softball Team.
Players were in full smile as they received their uniforms, thanks to the sponsor, Kavieng Hotel.
These uniforms will be used by the team during the master’s tournament at Gold Coast, Australia next month.
Managing Director, Leo Badcock, presented the uniforms to the players and urged them to be good ambassadors of New Ireland.
“We give back to the community which is part of our business and we are grateful,” he said.
This is the first ever masters tournament which Drongos will compete in.
They will be ambassadors of New Ireland Province and also Papua New Guinea at the same time.
“The team will be promoting New Ireland abroad and also Papua New Guinea and mainly tourism in New Ireland Province,” Pokowas said.
The Drongos Masters softball team is made up of 16 players.
The master’s tournament will be held from November 3 to 12.
