Kali: General Orders for Public Servants

Secretary for Personnel ManagementoJohn Kali, has called for all public servants throughoutthe country to be more viable and productive in 2014.

Secretary Kali wants to see a performance driven work force in all government departments and state agencies. He says, overthe years public servants have been described as loop holes in service delivery with minimum input inthe carrying out oftheir responsibilities.

 

Speaking atthe signing ofthe 3 MOA’s betweenthe Department of Personnel Management andthe Public Employees Association, Mr Kali emphasized that public servants will be a key factor in delivering services down tothe people.

 

Secretary Kali admitted that public servants have been described badly by ther sectors inthe economy however withthe MOA’s signed, welfare of public servants will be a factor in improving performance and commitment.

 

Meanwhile a roll-out program of series of workshop has begun for public servants in provinces to fully graspthe core ofthe new General orders. This is to make sure public servants are well versed withthe orders and carry outtheir responsibilities.

 

Secretary Kali is anxious to see how public servants will perform in 2014.
