The increased awareness of cancer, allows for the public to better understand cancer, and to recognise its signs and symptoms. This was the drive behind Kalang Event Management’s Biggest Morning Tea, held last Saturday at the Paradise Cinema in Port Moresby.
Cancer is increasingly becoming a medical scare in the country; with reports suggesting that 1 in every 10 deaths, is caused by cancer.
It is with this knowledge that early detection of cancer is crucial in increasing the chances of successful treatment; and recognising possible warning signs of cancer for early diagnosis, that organisations concerned are taking on the responsibility to create awareness and raise funds to support cancer work in PNG.
One such avenue being, the biggest morning tea.
Kalang Event Management’s biggest morning tea was supported by corporate sponsors, which included Stop ‘N’ Shop, Datec and Travel Air.
A raffle draw was also held during the event; where a couple won a trip for two to Kokopo, staying at the Queen Emma Lodge.
All funds raised will go towards supporting the work of the PNG Cancer Foundation.
