IRC launches Five Year Corporate Plan and New Logo

TheInternal Revenue Commission Staff have been urged to better last year’s performances on revenue. It was at least 23% better thanthe previous year.

A new corporate plan would help to achieve thatoit was launched in Port Moresby yesterday as well as a logo.

Gate-way Hotel in Port Moresby was filled with staff fromthe different Divisions withinInternal Revenue Commission. The thers were basically tax payers. There to welcome special guest,the Treasury Minister Don Polye was IRC Commissioner General Betty Palaso.

Ms Palaso saidthe Five – Year Corporate Plan 2013 – 2017 is aimed at meetingthe government’s expectation to generate more revenue by using modernised systems. Much ofthe revenue will come fromthe minerals and resource sectors.

TheInternal Revenue Commission is responsible for collecting most oPNG&#39’s Tax Revenue. The 2013 budget was thirteen billion kina, twenty three percent more thanthe previous. It’s an effort worth of praise.
