The International Training Institute (ITI) in Port Moresby graduated over 300 students today.
ITI President, Senthil Kumaran, speaking during the graduation ceremony said ITI aims to provide a better quality of life for average people, through education.
The institute is one of the largest privately-run institutions in the country that has contributed to the economic development of PNG for the past seven years.
Today’s graduation ceremony came with the theme education as a tool for development, and saw 376 students graduate in certificate and diploma programs.
For the graduands, this marks an important chapter in their lives and a way forward for employment.
bmobile Vodafone Chief Executive Officer, Sundar Ramamurthy, said graduating and joining the workforce is a time of great expectation.
He advised students that even though they are entering the workforce, learning never stops.
Kumaran said since its establishment in 1999, this institution has been educating many school leavers.
However, he urged graduates to balance personnel matters with work expectations.
He also challenged the graduates to continue their journey in their professional capacities as skilled employees.
