The inmates of Bomana Correctional Service were not forgotten this festive season.
They were visited by the Youth Reform and Carl Okuk, who donated six cows and K6,000 to go towards their new year festivities.
While in Bomana, Carl Okuk learned about Bomana Correctional Service’s plans to form an Easter Cup, and pledged to sponsor the event next year.
Bomana Jail Commander, Kiddy Keko, says it was an unexpected gesture and acknowledged Carl Okuk and the youth reform for their initiative.
Commander Keko says the initiative coincides with their rehabilitation program.
According to one of the inmates, while being in prison, they miss out on family moments and special occasions, most especially the festive season.
This gesture has made them feel a little closer to home, and fills a void of not being around their families during this festive season.
