The SP PNG Hunters have announced their final 18-man squad to take on the Souths Logan Magpies in the opening round of the Intrust Super Cup competition this Sunday.
Hunters coach Michael Marum made the announcement after a training session at the National Football Stadium today.
Marum is pleased to have maintained most of his squad from last year, without succumbing to any major injuries.
However, co-captain Adam Korave won’t make the squad for Sunday’s match due to suspension.
The team will welcome new faces to side in the likes of Watson Boas, Justin Olam and Philemon Kiviseve.
The team’s hooker Wartovo Puara Jnr will make his 50th appearance for the Hunters side. Puara will be first Papua New Guinean to reach that mark when he runs out on the pitch on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Noel Zeming has a slight niggle and despite being in doubt, has been named in the starting squad.
