The SP PNG Hunters play their Round Eight match on Monday April 25, against the Burleigh Bears at Pizzy Park in Brisbane.
The match is set to be a thriller as both teams will battle it out for the Kokoda Cup, in remembrance of soldiers who fought along the Kokoda Track in World War II.
The Bears held aloft the Kokoda Cup in 2014, before the Hunters won it back in 2015.
In the Hunters ANZAC match, they will be without captain Noel Zeming, who sustained an injury in last week’s clash.
Stargroth Amean makes a return to fullback, but coach Michael Marum says Amean needs to improve his game.
Adam Korave will be captaining the side next week Monday, and says he is privileged and ready to lead the boys.
The Hunters leave Port Moresby on Sunday April 24, for the 3:30pm clash against the bears on Monday. They will be wearing black armbands in tribute to former Kumul, Tara Gau, who recently passed away.
