Goals galore, perfectly describes the 2017 Charity Cup Soccer competition in Port Moresby.
First rays of sunshine in the nation’s capital had teams from across the city take part in the annual event.
Certainly not the high level football most are used to seeing, but competitive and full of enjoyment, as over 70 teams took part in the charity cup.
The first day of the annual Charity Cup soccer event kicked off at the Sir John Guise Stadium.
The competition structure has seen numerous pools spread across five divisions.
While fitness might be an issue, there is no doubt the enthusiasm levels are high.
Today’s competition is the first round, with the next two days of fierce competition expected, before the finals on Monday.
And the day wasn’t just about the workforce themselves, but also their families as well, as Charity Cup organisers hope to be more inclusive in their competition.
