Garamuts World Tour

THE Hebou PNG U19 Garamuts have quietly left the country to start their Under 19 World Cup campaign in the United Arab Emirates.

The 5 young cricketers left the country on Tuesday to join forces with Gold Coast-based players.

On board with the team is former Hebou PNG Barramundi’s Captain, Rarua Dikana.

Dikana is now the Interim Head Coach for Cricket PNG, after the resignation of Peter Anderson.

He has also been the Assistant Coach for the Hebou Barras since stepping down as the National Captain, over the past two years.

Following his role with the Garamuts, he will then take the Hebou PNG Barramundi’s to their two-week tour of Sri Lanka, at the end of March.

Dikana brings a wealth of coaching experience as he has coached the East-Asia Pacific team for the last two years.

The Garamuts will have two warm up matches against Bangladesh and Canada before taking on Scotland in their first pool match.
