Both coming off big victories last week, tonight’s Friday night football match will see a crucial clash take place between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Canterbury Bulldogs.
The cross-town rivals will be looking to continue their form from previous weeks, as they both make a tilt towards this year’s premiership title.
The Rabbitohs fired warning shots to the rest of the competition last weekend when they walked over an in-form Cowboys team 31-18, while the Bulldogs easily accounted for the Gold Coast Titans.
A key match up will no doubt take place between the opposing fullbacks in Greg Inglis and Brett Morris, with the State of Origin opponents sure to play a crucial part in determining which team walks away with the vital two points from tonight’s clash.
In Thursday night football, the Dragons secured their position in the NRL top eight following a 19-12 victory over the Penrith Panthers.
The win, for now, sees the Dragons sitting in seventh spot on 26 points. However a win tonight by the eighth placed Bulldogs can seem them move above the Dragons and further cement their spot in the eight with the finals series looming.
