His Excellency Pascal Maubert visited the Binatang Research Centre yesterday, accompanied by two Commanding Officers of a French Naval Frigate.
The visitors were said to be overwhelmed with BRC’s database, especially with the diversity of plants and insects that were collected and stored.
On the preceding Tuesday evening, BRC scientists as well as students studying at the centre were invited onto his Excellency’s vessel to dine with him, tour the vessel, and meet his officials and crews.
BRC’s representatives said they were honoured by the ambassador’s visit, as well as with the Navy officer’s visit, as it was the first time any international Navy or military personnel had toured.
As for the ambassador, this is his second visit to the Binatang Research Centre.
