FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016: Brazil Hopeful

Brazil will take on Japan tomorrow afternoon in the first day of quarterfinals. It’s been 8 years since Brazil has advanced past the group stage, into the quarter finals.

Brazil played Mexico, Japan and USA last year in preparation for the FIFA U20 Women’s Cup.

Brazil coach, Dorival Bueno says some of his players in the team did not play Japan last year but know how good Japan is.

Brazil will play their game, and still remain hopeful to secure a spot in the Semi-Finals.

Japan’s strikers Yuka Momiki and Mami Ueno will be a threat to the Brazilian’s defence, having scored a total of 7 goals combined so far in the tournament.

Brazil’s Gabi Nunes will be dangerous up front for her team alongside Geyse.

The match kicks off tomorrow at the National Football Stadium at 7pm.
