The lead singer of “The Beack Eyed Peas” famously known as Fergie has begun proceedings to legally change her name.
The “Loverly Lady Lumps” singer whose name appears on her birth certificate as Stacey Ann Ferguson, now wants to officially change her name to Fergie Duhamel.
Marrlied to actor Josh Duhamel,the newly blonded bombshell decided onthe name change to “confirm tothe first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years” according to TMZ.
Withthe next hearing in August,the court has said thatthe Californian native’s request will be granted after a notice of her intention to change her name appears in her local paper for four consecutive weeks.
Ferguson & Duhamel started dating in 2004 finally married in 2009. The couple are expectingtheir first child later this year.
