The Lily Magazine Pacific Games edition launched yesterday, and features some of Papua New Guinea’s female Gold medal prospects for the Games which begin this weekend.
With just 2 days till the opening ceremony, the athletes are excited to compete in front on their nation.
The special edition Pacific Games launch of the Lilly magazine saw tennis sisters, Abigail and Marcia Tere-Apisah, Xenia Peni and Vavine Yore present to sign autographs and meet members of the public.
Abigail Tere-Apisah talked about her pride of being able to represent her country.
Xenia Peni was a former swimmer, now turned Va’a paddler and is set to do her country proud, the last time the Pacific Games was in town she watched athletes she looked up to and now she has the opportunity and is excited to compete on home waters.
With the Opening Ceremony just days away, the whole country is gearing up to hold the biggest sporting event in the Pacific.
